Elijah frowned and shrugged. "I don't think it hurts to try my own way. If I could save one person who would have otherwise been lost, then it would be something..."

Ben nodded. "'E's a pain though." he muttered, looking at his hand.

Elijah nodded and smiled weakly. "I don't think I've ever met a kid as wild as him."

"Well..." he got up. "What can ye do?"

Elijah brushed his hands together. "I am going to find him and drag him to the booth where he'll pay them back, if he has no coins he can do a little hard labor to make it up to them. Do you remember which one it was?"

"Aye," said Ben. "I'm headin' back to the market. Will's still there. With a bit of luck we may find the scoundrel along the way."

Elijah shrugged. "Sure I'll come with you to keep an eye out, at least to keep him from doing anything else. Keep an eye on your hand. Human bites can get very infected."

"I will," said Ben, and they started walking.

Elijah nodded walking beside him.

Ben walked beside Elijah, looking around in case he might spot Ed. "Any chance ye could get that drunk arrested for som't?" he grunted.
