She tilted her head back and looked at him. She cpuldn't let go if she wanted to. She smiled up at him warmly. "Do ye think they are wonderin where we are?" Probably not, she thought.

"I would be very surprised if they did not know where we are and were deliberately giving us a wide berth."

He very much any of them would intrude on them.

"Well... I do know that at least one of them actually thinks it is grand... Maybe more." She ducked her head and blushed. "I... Doubt they object too much." She smiled a little afterwards.

"No, I doubt they do." He agreed as she ducked her head back against his shoulder. "I wouldn't be surprised if some of them didn't encourage it."

"They are very devoted to ye," she said when she lifted her head again. "And now so am.I," she murmured with a smile.

It seemed trite for him to say he was devoted to her in turn, instead, he thought it better to demonstrate that by leaning in and capturing her lips once again. The kiss tender and filled with the gentle affection of the scholarly man.

She returned the favor, her arms giving a gentle squeeze. Her eyes crinkled whrn she smiled up at him. She wanted to keep kissing him but her eyes met his after a minute and she got lost in gazing at him.

"We should return to the manor." He murmured softly meeting her gaze. "It is getting very hard to resist temptation out here."

"Aye, I understand. Mayhap me getting me son will help." Not really, that didn't help keep them apart for he was so epne she and Edward bonded over. She wanted to call him Jacob's true father for all that he had just given attention to the boy. "I will return in a time."

Assuming he was in agreement, she wasn't gone for more than an hour before she came back with the boy.

"I'll be in the library when you return." He smiled at her softly and let her slip away. He went to the kitchen to get something to eat before doing as promised and retiring to the library. Normally he'd have thrown himself into study but he found he didn't feel like it. Instead, he went to a small bookshelf where he kept his books of a less scholarly bent. Selecting one and heading to his chez longe to read.
