"Tis very fortunate," she countered and then she did something she had never done woth anybody but her younger siblings, she gave him a playful push, "But ta marry me, ye have ta catch me first," and then she danced free from his arms with graceful moves and darted off and pretended to hide behind a nearby tree, an impish smile on her face.

She rose from the ground with as much grace as a woman with one arm in a sling was capable of, leaving Edward slightly mystified as he watched her take off. But she'd made her challenge clear so he pushed to his feet and chased after her. A smile tugging at the corner of his lips, "I can't remember the last time I chased someone."

She laughed as he darted after her, she stooped down and grabbed a handful of leaves to playfully toss his way, only the good hand of course. She wouldn't run too much, and catching her would not be difficult.

He spluttered a laugh when one of her leafs managed to hit him in the face, his arms wrapping around her waist not long after as he gently caught her up in his embrace. His cheeks were flushed and he was panting lightly from the exertion, feeling his heart hammering in his chest for more than one reason as he spun her about to look into her eyes.

She grinned up at him impishly, her nose crinkling a little as she also panted. The kiss came easily, her spirit soaring with the thrill of knowing what real happiness was like. She kissed him back and wrapped her arms around him.

"Edward, I don't know that I can hide me adoration when I want ta shout it out from a mountain." She touched his face with her fingers on the injured hand.

"I thought the plan was to talk to your parents in a few days? I do not think there is a need for your to hide your affection when we are courting."

They also weren't going to be leaving the house anytime soon that he was aware beyond to talk to her parents.

"I mean before... A few days seems like a stretch right now is all. Ye have me giddy," she chuckled.

"I'm sorry?" He gave her a slightly perplexed smile not sure what else to say. "But in good news, since I've caught you. It means I get to marry you so the stretch won't be too unbearable I hope."

"Aye," she said softly and then hugged him. She pressed her head down on his shoulder and took a nice sized breath.

He chuckled lightly, still a little surprised that he was going to be wed again. But he was happy, she'd helped him remember what that was like so it felt natural to be there with her in his arms.
