Elijah nodded. "I know. None of us do. We all love Ben."

Love him? That was a big claim... If something happened to his dad, he was stuck here looking after the kids.

Okay, maybe Simon was concerned for his dad's sake. Based on a long lost past where he had actually been a nice man.

"He needs to calm the fuck down. That's the thing." Swearing was forbidden, so Simon loved doing it.

Elijah smiled weakly at him. "I couldn't agree more. Unfortunately he is stubborn."

"Aye he is." Simon muttered.
Then the doctor came back with Benjamin. "This man needs to take it easy," he said.
Simon threw his arms up into the air. "Thank Christ, it's a revelation!" he said in a sarcastic voice.
Ben pointed at Simon. "Don't you take the Lord's name in vain!" he shouted, quite against medical advice.

Elijah sighed heavily and stood up to speak to the doctor. "Thank you. Is there anything we can do to ease his symptoms? He is a fisherman so he can't just.. sit it out."

"I suggested some heart medicine but he refuses." The doctor said. "In which case the only other thing I can advice is to take rest."
"I'm write here," grumbled Ben.

Elijah sighed and faced Ben. "Why won't you take the medicine ?"

"It's a month's income. And for all I know, this man is a swindler." Ben said.
The doctor took of his glasses. "Excuse me!" he grasped.

Elijah sighed and looked to the doctor. "Give him the medicine. How much do I owe you?" He figured he might have to dig into his savings but it was worth it.

The doctor named the price, but Ben cut in: "No way, Elijah."
"Don't be such a goddamn pighead!" Simon shouted in frustration.
"Shut your gob!" Ben shouted louder. The doctor took a step away from Ben.
