"Extra!  Extra! Get the News!!"

The kid calling out to sell the newspapers nearby wore old brown boots, a rough pair of pants, a grey shirt with a brown jacket, and a floppy but thick material-made hat.  Nat had short brown hair and looked to be about 13 years old with a bit of dust on 'his' face.

Over the last hour, there had been 10 papers sold.  There were 25 more to sell there besides the boots.  Nat was also watching for going into the local pubs.  After the newspapers were sold, Nat would be paying attention to those that stayed long enough to get very drunk.  Those were the best ones to pickpocket later in the evening.

Llew was working on inventory.  He had the door open because of the heat in the pub.  And could hear a young voice yelling "Extra Extra Get the news."  He's not gonna sell any papes doing it like that.  Llew should know. He was one of the best newsies when he was younger.  He went outside to find this newsy and see what kind of salesman he really was.  

"Oy!  You, boy." He said to the boy.  "You call that selling papes?  What's the headline today?"

Irritated by the first part of the comment, Nat took a deep breath to keep from making a comment back, as that would not sell the paper.  Thinking the guy might want one and hearing the man's request, Nat looked at the newspaper and responded, "Snailbeach lead mine disaster in Shropshire: 7 men are killed when a winding cable breaks and first international hockey match played by an England team: England v. Ireland at Richmond, Surrey. England wins 5–0."
