Elijah nodded before wincing at the grip. "I suppose..a better question might be.. can you contain your strength?" He chuckled weakly.

Fanny fluttered her eyes and let his hand go.

"Maybe."

Was he trying to flirt? He rose his brow and nodded holding back his hand and rubbed it a little. "Thank you, I'll consider it."

Fuuck. If he was serious about checking the references, she was whoring for the rest of her damned life.

"Sowhen'sthetrialstart?" 'Francis' said in a rush of overeager words, though Fanny's mouth was a thin line after.

The words spilled out like a flood all at once that he had to stop and look at him. After processing what he actually said, he oh'd and nodded. "I'll do it within a day or two. Um..' he seemed to be looking over the papers strewn on the desk. "How about.. Wednesday? Be here by the time the sun rises and I'll take you with me so things can run." He certainly didn't want to do a late night one, that was far too dangerous.

The constable smiled at the newest applicant,"You seem like an interesting sort. I hope you are here and that you do well. I look forward to working together." He stood to shake hands with him.
