She nodded.  "My parents started me learning early with helping with the shop.  I went to school too, but I was advance most.  I helped with the inventory and putting the numbers in the ledger.  I worked the till too.  So, I am good knowing how to give change and make sure no one shorted us.  Mum taught me to read early too.  It was her that made me like books."  She nodded.
