Benny held up a hand, "If a woman makes your blood run cold and gives you a look of hatred, you've met a witch."

"I think I know a few."
"Bram." Ben warned.
William smirked.

Benny smiled at Ben. "I think it's not a bad lesson to teach children to avoid people who scare them?"

"No it isn't." said Ben. "But they shouldn't be calling anyone a witch."

Benny chuckled, "It may be a little insulting, but I've heard women called far worse."

"Like what?" Bram asked eagerly.
"Bram!"

Benny bit his lip to keep from laughing. "I don't think I should give you ideas."

"No please don't." said Ben. "You know better than that, Bram."
The girls started clearing off the table.

Benny shrugged and grinned. "He's just a kid. I was the same. Soon as I could I learned learning bad words."

"Well, he shouldn't learn any." Ben said. And turning to Bram, he added: "And he knows that. Go work on the nets."
"Yes father," the boy muttered, and he sat down in the corner on the ground and started working on untangling a net. His brother went to help him.
