"I have been doing this for many years and the one thing I have learned is that as long as everyone remains calm and listens to orders, things will almost always end well. But if you panic, then things will definitely end poorly. So, just don't panic." He explains with a grin.

They were making fun of him! Of course they were making fun of him! Gareth returned to staring out of the window. He had half a mind to tell both of them to get stuffed, alight, and walk back to town. Sleeping in an actual bed and all that. But they were close to treasure, and he would forever regret it if he withdrew now.

He'd simply had to follow orders like a professionally trained dog.

"Easy enough," she said quietly, her smile playing on her lips. She lapsed into silence then and looked out the window, eagerly awaiting to see the cave in question. Whatever foul mood that the reporter was in was of his own making, she thought, and not her fault he wanted to be a sour puss.

It takes about an hour before Quentin, checking his map calls for a stop.

"Alright, everyone grabs their bag and let's get moving. If I am reading this map correctly, we've got about thirty minutes of walking to do."

He tucks the map away and grabs his own bag. He was in clothing fit for camping, his clothing plain and durable with a focus on comfort and practicality over style.

Thirty minutes wasn't too bad. Gareth grabbed his bag. Unlike Quentin, he didn't own clothes suited for camping and wore his regular clothes which looked expensive, but were of poor quality. He was in for a fun night.

She was dressed as appropriately as she could get with trousers and such, having paid for lads' clothing so that she wouldn't soil her gowns. Besides, one did not go spelunking in a gown, that was plain stupid.

The trek was fairly easy, it didn't take them long to find the approximate location. It didn't take long to spot the large boulder and after searching around the base of it for some time, they located what looked to be an animal burrow but careful examination showed that it was a wide enough opening for even Quentin to slide into. Taking this as what they are looking for, Quentin orders the camp to be set assigning everyone chores. He sends Gareth off to find firewood and Claire to see if she could find a stream or spring for water. They had a supply but when you didn't know how long you were going to be in an area it was good to know if there was a reliable source of water.

His father had tried to take Gareth camping as a boy, but Gareth had always managed to find a way out of it. Now he almost regretted it. Some experience might have helped him prepare better. At least he knew how to gather firewood. He had done that often enough as a child. With arms full of dry wood, he walked back toward the campsite. And walked. And walked. Huh?

It took her a little longer, but she found a stream eventually and made her way back around to camp. It took her about a half an hour or so before she reappeared. "That way," she said, shoving her thumb over her shoulder in a gesture toward the stream. "Fifteen minutes away or so."

While Claire was gone they'd pitched the tents, there was three total. One for Claire, one for Gareth and Quentin, and the other for the father and son. Quentin was investigating the hole, while the father and son were getting to work on dinner. Quentin looking up as Claire approaches. "Good to hear, now we just need Mister Scott to come back with that firewood.
