"Please?" He was basically begging, at this point.

"You can't expect people to consider you when treat them the way you do." Ben said. He knocked, just to make a point.

Ben kind of had a point. Anthony didn't like that. "But I'm being nice to you right now," he defended himself.

"It doesn't work that way. You just called me all kinds of awful. If you want to be rude and sulk on your own, that's your business, but don't expect me to be considerate." He banged his fist against the door loudly.

What a prick. "Well, you were being an asshole towards me too," Anthony retorted.

"Oh really?" Ben turned to him. "When I advised you not to ruin your life?"

"Yes," he said. "you were being an asshole." Anthony didn't like this conversation. He covered his ears, hoping that Ben would just go back to banging on the door instead of this.

Definite Simon vibes. "Ye can refuse to see reason, but it doesn't change the fact that you're ruinin' your life and that of the people around ye."

Trying to just ignore it didn't work. "I ain't ruining anyone's life except my own," Anthony said, rather defensively.

"No?" said Ben, in a rather aggressive tone. "Can ye recall what you do while drunk?" He stepped a little closer. "And do you not rely on Elijah? And what do you think of the example you're setting for the young one's, so many so poorly raised and corruptible."
