The minister nodded. "Well, I'm about to pay a house visit. But I'll keep an eye out, and if I see them I'll bring them straight home." He pushed himself back up to his feet. "I'll drop by the Wards in the afternoon. Hopefully the girls are found by then."

Elijah nodded. "Thank you. I'll be hoping they are found soon." He stood with him and waved as he started off again anew.

Wherever the poor constable went, it seemed the girls were nowhere to be found, and no one had seen anything. Bram eventually found Elijah. "Maggie hasn't seem 'em! She's gone to our home. Can I have my sweets now?" His stupid sisters were probably hiding for the attention.

"I'll get you sweets later. We have to find them first. Then I promise I will let you even pick them out. " Elijah promised as he walked.

"But I've searched all over town! They're probably hiding and will come back!" The boy suggested. "And I am hungry!" It was after midday, after all, and they had been disturbed during breakfast.

Eijah tried to not look too annoyed as he dug into his jacket and pulled out some coins. "Go buy them then. I will keep looking." He shook his head in frustration and kept walking.

That made the boy jump. Elijah was barely ever angry. He took the coin, but ran after the constable. "Elijaaaaaah!"

Elijah looked over trying his hardest to remain calm, he didn't mean to be angry at Bram as he was a child and didn't understand. It was just getting to him. "Yes Bram?"

"I didn't mean to make ye angry. I'll help look!" he offered.

"I know, Bram. You're fine. I'm just very worried. Anne has no reason to hide. Alice is very upset, dangerously upset." He sighed and looked around.
