"Plenty if time for a little rest. " Elijah assured him and put a blanket over him before going to his own bed.

"Thanks...." It took a while, but Simon fell asleep at last.

Elijah slept deeply, so much that he had trouble getting up in the morning. "Ready to get up?" He asked when he went to check on Simon.

Simon sat up and looked around. Then the realization dawned, and he felt flutters in his stomach. Tonight he would be in York. His back felt better, and though the area around his eye was still bruised, it was changing color now to a kind of purple-red. Fuck that bastard. Today would be the beginning of a new life. "Aye... I can't believe t' day has come." He got up and went to wash himself.

"Yeah me either.." Elijah sighed heavily.  "Time flies. But I am happy for you. Soon you'll be so happy you did this."

After washing, Simon returned to the room. "Owt I can help ye with?"

Elijah smiled. "How about you make a lunch to take with you? Sounds like you'll be busy today. You could use it."

Simon nodded, found some bread and started preparing a sandwich.

Elijah was making them both a nice breakfast. "I hope you aren't too nervous." He kept glancing over to see if the man needed assistance.

"It's okay... to be honest, I'm most nervous about saying bye to Rose. I hope she can forgive me." He said quietly.
