Jacob spotted her for a moment. He approached and reached under the waves to try and grab her. The waves almost washed him off his feet.

One of her hands grabbed on to one of his tightly, shortly followed by the other.

Jacob pulled her up, walking back to shore to drag her to where she could stand.

Alexandra clanged to him until her feet felt like they were stable once more. "Than...k...you" she got out between coughing and trying to catch her breath once more.

"Are you alright?" he asked, wrapping an arm around her shoulder and leading her to the beach."

She followed with a slight nod, leaning into him for support. "Did not feel that one coming."

"The sea can be dangerous...." he said. He let go and took off his coat. The top part was still dry. He put it around her. "We need to get you somewhere warm. Do you live close by?" He hoped not.

She shook her head, there was no way she could go home in this state, not without drying off first. "My father would kill me if he found out..." But she did give him a soft smile and pulled his jacket around her, glad for the small enough of warmth it provided.

"I can take you to my place. It's close by and small but there's a fireplace at least," he offered totally selflessly.

To go to a mans place alone or return home wet and with a man she doesn't know when she shouldn't have been out in the first place? Which would have her less dead? At least if she went home dry no one would know... "That would be lovely Mr....?"
