Tristan put the resonator on several places on Anthony's belly, but didn't hear anything unusual. Then he put the stethoscope down, muttered a "sorry" and very gently pressed on where the liver was.

Though the situation was awkward and mildly uncomfortable, it wasn't painful, so Anthony was fine with it. Of course, the part about painfulness changed as soon as the fellow pressed down on where his liver was, which made him wince in both pain and discomfort. Irritating, to say the least.

The man's reaction caused Tristan to frown. That didn't look good. "Does it hurt a lot?"

Well, it would certainly hurt less if he'd stop touching it. "I guess." He wasn't sure what amount of liver pain could be considered 'a lot', so he just stuck with a safe and semi-accurate answer.

"Did you receive a blow on this side of your body last night?" he said, pressing gently on the liver just a little higher.

That wasn't an invitation for him to do it even more. He winced. "Well, yes," Anthony nodded. Was that a bad thing? Well, obviously it was, but was it like....bad? He was guessing it was.

Tristan's frown deepened when he heard the answer. "I want to keep an eye on that. You must be careful not to move too-, well, I suppose you weren't going to anyway," he corrected himself. "No alcohol, and take it easy with fatty food and meat."

Might as well just have asked him to kill himself. Would have the exact same effect. "Right," Anthony said, nodding along to these instructions he most definitely was not going to follow. "noted."

Tristan had no idea. "I'll come check on you again in two days. If you feel any pain in that area in the mean time, I want you to come see me. If I were you, I'd report whoever did that to you."

He still didn't understand how he was supposed to go see him in his current state, but he didn't have the heart to say it. "Alright, okay," Anthony nodded along. "well, thankfully you aren't me."
