"How do I know the right example? I was raised by my mother a few years and my aunt and uncle for a few more. They both raised me alright but different. One told me the truth was most important but the other one taught me that fitting into society was. I think we know which I followed meself." She chuckled slightly.
Ben didn't see how the choices she had made had anything to do with truth, but he didn't say it. "I would say truth is more important. Ye don't want yer children growin' up liars, But that doesn't stop ém from fittin' in."
Kitty shrugged, 'I think one could say holdin your breath and not speakin your mind can be just as bad. Or sayin what you think someone wants ta hear to make em happy. People do that a lot.'
Kitty noticed and quickly cut in. 'Ah, but.. though we all do our best. Sometimes we do have to lie. I'm sure.. you've fibbed once or twice in your life."
