"The food? Well, I told you," Anthony laughed. "are you glad you didn't leave, now?" He leaned slightly closer to Tobias as he asked that. But it was a rhetorical question, and he didn't expect an answer.

"Yeah." he answered nonetheless. No he wasn't. "Could use a bit more salt..."

"Well, you got your money's worth, at least," Anthony said. "bit naive to expect the food here to be that good, ain't it?"

That annoyed him. This guy had been the one to convince him to eat here! "Well, food is food," he said, even though he was feeling very sulky now. He actually liked good food.

Anthony just didn't want Tobias to leave, hence his lying. And it worked. "It is," he said, "you seem to be a very intelligent man." It was only half-sarcastic.

Tobias moved his jaw and pulled a face as if there was something dirty in his mouth. But he decided not to say anything and continued eating. The sooner he was done, the sooner he could go.

Anthony laughed a bit awkwardly. "Is the food really that bad?" Why else would Tobias be acting like that, if not because of the food.

"It's decent enough. I told ye." Tobias said, and he continued eating, without looking at Anthony.

"Well, you made that face, and I thought...." He didn't finish the sentence.

"It's fine... It's the headache." he said. That, or the cause of the headache.
