Anthony still had a little bit of impulse control, sadly, so he didn't do that. He just kept looking at Tobias, waiting for even the smallest crumb of attention. There was literally nothing else that he wanted. He was blissfully unaware of what was going through the man's head right now.

Tobias took his glass and started drinking, very purposely not looking at the other man. He was turning rather red.

Anthony noticed how red the man's face was, but assumed that it was just from the alcohol. He cleared his throat, no longer in the mood for being subtle about his attention-whoring anymore.

Tobias felt even more awkward when the other man coughed, clearly demanding attention. "So what do you do for a living?" Maybe he should just address it and that would make the other man uncomfortable and go away.

"Not much," Anthony shrugged, very oblivious about where this is heading. Really, he was just glad that Tobias was paying attention to him again.

"Oh..." He stared at his glass. He definitely shouldn't have ordered a new one. He was a slow drinker and it was only half way empty.

Anthony remembered his drink, and took another sip from it, before turning his focus back to Tobias yet again. "What about you?"

"I'm a farmer..." Tobias said, picking up his glass, even though he really didn't feel like drinking now.

"Oh. That's...interesting." Anthony was a bit disappointed by how boring of an answer that was, but it didn't matter. He moved just a little bit closer, because he felt that Tobias wasn't paying as much attention to him as he should be. "Do you like the whole...farming thing?"

WAAAAAAARAAAAAUGHHHH!!!!! was sort of what Tobias was thinking. He shifted a little to the side. "Yes," he said. "And I recently got married, so it's nice to be able to do the work together and not feel alone." Not that he was happily married, but as long as this guy thought so...
