James held out his dirty hands for the food eagerly.

"Well, go ahead. I didn't spend all that money just for the food to sit there," she said, placing the food down on the blanket, unsure of where else she could put it.

"Thank you!" The boy took the pie and dived in, picking it up with both hands and stuffing his face.

Saoirse was kind of grossed out  by how the boy was eating it, but she remained polite and didn't mention it whatsoever. "You're welcome. Glad that you like it," she nodded politely.

Suddenly, a teenager appeared at the window. "James, what the hell?! What did I tell you about befriending strangers!?" He glared at Saoirse as if this was all her fault.

Saoirse whipped her head to look at whoever it was that interrupted them. She raised her hands for calm. "I haven't done him any harm," she tried to reassure whomever this was.

"She gave me food, Noah!" James said, pie in his hands and his face covered in gravy.

Noah climbed through the window, more clumsily than his younger brother. When he stood inside of the room, he glared at Saoirse once again. "Why? What do you want?"

"I have no ulterior motive, if that's what you're concerned about," she looked down at the newcomer. "he asked me to buy him food, so I did so." Was this the brother that the kid was talking about, before?

Noah looked at her suspiciously. "Well you shouldn't be here. This is our spot," the teenager said rather aggressively.

James watched, eating his food.

"If you want me to leave, then I can do so," she said, not wanting to cause drama. "I am here only because he led me here."
