Anthony wasn't really that bothered at all about Ben's inaction. He just took this chance to pathetically cry and sob his lungs out, for what seemed a very long time.

As the man continued to cry, Ben pressed his lips together and fiddled with his hands, not sure what to do. "Life can be cruel..." he said at last, not sure if it helped, but also not sure what else to do.

Anthony almost stopped crying just from that statement. "Yes? It can?" That was...obvious. It was why he was crying. Anthony didn't know what Ben's intentions were, there, but if they were to confuse him and perhaps even mildly irritate him, then it worked.

Ben nodded. Still awkward. What was he supposed to do?

Anthony was still crying, of course, but he was also very confused now. "I don't– just–" he couldn't finish that thought.

Ben was lost. "What's wrong?" he asked, not unkind - but also kind of confused.

Anthony didn't want to answer that. "A lot," he just said.

Ben reached up under his cap and scratched his head. "Anythin' I can do?" Wait. Why was he offering help now?

Anthony frowned. "No," he said, "noone can't do nothing about this."

Ben frowned. "I'm sorry..."
