Anthony blinked. This is the first time he's cried in front of James. "Do I, really?" he asked, but wasn't expecting nor really wanting an answer.

"Yeah..." said James. He looked at the man and patted his arm. "Why are you so sad?"

Anthony, with his overemotional and clueless self, tensed up for a moment when James patted his arms. "I'm not sad," he protested. Honestly, he doesn't even know why exactly he was crying at this point. "just...emotional, I guess. I don't know why."

"Oh I know!" James suddenly said. "You're drunk! I think you need to drink water and eat som't!"

Anthony is fairly certain that he is not drunk. "....I'm not drunk." He hasn't drunk alcohol in at least a week. Wait. Why the hell was James's reaction to him crying, being him thinking he's drunk? He frowned. That's not a good mindset for a kid to have. Which only made him cry even more as he thought about what could've happened to James that makes him think like this and Jesus fucking Christ why is he so emotional today.

James was confused. Maybe he should go home after all. This man seemed crazy. But there was the issue of his ankle. And so he sat there and patted Anthony's arm. "It's okay," he said. Definitely drunk, he thought.

Anthony shows some emotion and immediately this child thinks he's a madman. Sad, but kind of deserved. "Yeah, I know," he gestured with an arm as if waving him away. "it's all fine. Sorry." Wiping away the tears from his face with his hand, he inhaled as if to steady his breathing and not cry uncontrollably. "Sorry about that." He apologized again. He's never going to show emotion again after this.

James looked at his with a worried frown. "Are ye sure ye'r not drunk?"

God fucking damnit. "Yes, James, I'm very sure that I'm not drunk," Anthony said again. Just the sheer annoyance that saying that again made him feel basically almost single-handedly stopped his tears.

"Ye should probably drink some water," the boy insisted.
