Chéri nodded and entered the door, checking one last time behind themselves, hoping no one had followed them. Then turned to Pippa. She didn’t help at all, looking as nervous as Chéri themselves. Chéri pressed their lips together and gulped, then blinked “He’s coming.” They didn’t offer any other explanation: since Pippa had not asked, they were’t going to offer anything more for now.
