Noah wasn't sure how to deal with that. Nobody ever trusted him. And he was afraid of all the trust she said she put in him, because he didn't trust himself. He wanted to be good, but he often forgot when push came to shovel. He glanced up briefly, before avoiding her eye, picking up his water to have something to do. He looked at the glass in his hands. "Aye Mrs. Meijer... I won't disappoint ye."
