She took the babe into her arms and looked down at her, her eyes tearing up a little but she nodded when he asked about if she could still nurse. "Yes..." she said as her lips trembled. The former mother closed her eyes and said, "Where shall I take her? For privacy...?" she asked in a voice thick with emotion. She hadn't gotten to feed her babe. It all seemed so unfair... But there was now another child dependant on her and she was frightened she might fail the little one somehow. She forced a calm on herself and rocked the baby just like she had her own.
