Tristan stood nailed to the ground, utterly confused. She was here because... she wanted him to read a letter? ... She didn't look that old. Surely, she had fallen under compulsory education, though Tristan knew there were still children who slipped through the net. Perhaps she was just mentally ill. He had wondered that before.
