Vela gave a brief soft "thank you" to the servant.  She had not expected the help in this interview type of work, but it gave a good thought in her mind as to the type of environment she would get if she got the job.  When the man complimented the smell, she gave a slight smile and nod of thanks in his direction.

She gave an understanding nod as well when he said it was not for him.  She remembered this was a job about helping to get his brother to eat.  She followed Ambrose through the house to where the other man was working.  It was a bit of an unorganized layout as if he followed where his ideas took him even when he was in the middle of another thought. 

She watched him work for a moment holding the dish in her hands trying to get an impression of the man.  She looked at the things he was writing on the board curiously.  Getting closer, she tried to figure out what the topic was.   She figured if she could connect in some way with his work, she might get an opening to his personality and how his brain would work and how to best get him to eat.

"Hello, Mr. Blackwood.  I am Vela Rosewine."  She finally introduced herself politely.
