"It's hard to see now that its getting dark." Harry slowly spun the wheel.

“Do you want me to look?” He asked strained.

Harry looked at Claude irritated. The kid just wanted him to admit he couldn't lift that cart anymore. He looked back at the cart. "Lower it."

He didn’t. “Father, do you want me to look?”

Harry rose. "I can't lift the bloody cart, son." He said, half-bitter, hakf-defeated.

Shit... Claude stayed quiet not really sure what to do.

"I think I know what the problem is. Now lower it." His voice was kinder now.

Relaxing ever so slightly, he lowered it back down gently.

"So how is Ward anyway. What did the arrogant bastard want?" He had never liked Mr. Ward. The way he went to church every Sunday, always on time too, didn't drink, had been able to keep wife and children in line. Even Claude had likedgoing there as a boy. And then Ward's son had committed murder. He pitied the kid for having to hang. Who cared about some rich bastard who probably had it coming anyway? But he couldn't pity Benjamin.
