"Mother would have a fit and father would be indifferent. I hope she does too..." She thought about writing about a woman like Sonia. "I bet she would be proud to call you friend."

Darius shrugged. "I don't know. I think I may be spoiled and not good with people. But nice of you to say." He smiled slightly before walking around to admire the room.

"I think we can unspoil ourselves if we worked at it hard enough. I would hardly call me moving into this house an accomplishment with papa paying for my first months, but I will buy it one day from him and I will do it by myself, even if it means shifting my career about until I have it right."

Darius nodded but rubbed his arm. "But I don't know if I can do that. I want to work on my art and be remembered through the ages for my gift.'

"You paint brilliantly and will be remembered!" She hissed and swatted at him. "I believe in you!"

Darius laughed and tried to avoid her slap. "Well thank you.I am glad you believe in me."

"How could I not? You have so much talent." She gave a grin.

Darius grinned. "You're the best sister. I'm glad you believe in me."

"Of course I am." She giggled. "And I do. I always will," she continued and watched him from where she stood.

Darius smiled huge at her. He looked out a window and then back. "You have an amazing view."
