Ruth smirked and turned her head to see whether anyone was coming to get her. No one yet. She turned her face back to the bouncer. "Well, good thing we didn't bounce then, love."

He looked her up and down, of course she was married. He nodded, "Indeed. Good thing. Which makes me want to ask, does he know you're here?"

"It's not 'is business, is it?" Ruth retorted. "Anyway, he might be dead, so."

"What a loving wife." The man chuckled and sighed though getting impatient. "I hope they get here soon."

Ruth rolled her eyes. "So do I. Are ye sure they listen to ye?"

He shrugged. "If they didn't, then I wouldn't be a hard working bouncer. I could do anything I want."

"Ye don't look like a hard workin' bouncer to me..." Ruth pointed out.

He snorted. "You probably don't get this far in most places then."

Ruth sat back and told him lazily: "I can go wherever I like."
