Anthony was now very sure that he actually knew the way, but he didn't say anything. "Sure hope you don't get lost. That wouldn't be good." It was a genuinely sincere wish, but the way he phrased it made it seem... less so.

Tobias turned. "Are ye mockin' me?"

"What?" Why would he be doing that? "No."

Tobias frowned but decided not to say anything. He turned and began to walk again.

Anthony followed after Tobias, a small spring to his step. "If you can't find the inn we can go elsewhere." Yet again, a completely innocent statement ruined by everything.

We? Why was this guy acting as if he was glued to hin? Tobias was very confused and really just wanted to be in his room, alone. "I'll have to sleep tonight, won't I?"

"Yeah, you probably will," Anthony shrugged. "I don't see how that changes anything."

"So I need to find the inn." Was this guy retarded? Maybe that was it. Maybe he hadn't meant anything with the weird behaviour and he was just not right in the head.

"Well, you don't need to," he said. "but, if you want to, then okay."

"I'm travelling back tomorrow. I'd rather not crash the cart." Wait. Was he explaining a basic human need, now?
