Sometimes we are ready to let go of a character. Perhaps we've lost interest. Perhaps their storyline feels complete. Perhaps they got run over by a bicycle. Whatever the reason, you can get rid of a character in two ways:
The first is to completely delete the account. In that case, posts will remain, but only the original account name and no other information will show in the panel on the left, like in this example. Please note that since the underlying account no longer exists, it will no longer be possible to search for all posts by that character or see any information about the character. If you would like to completely delete the character, please let one of the admins know, as this can only be done in the ACP.
The second method is to simply detach the character from your main account. This can be done by going to the user control panel while logged into the character’s account: go to account switcher and detach the account. The profile will still float around and still be visible in full members lists, but it will no longer show up in your account switcher or as a connected account under any of your other account profiles. You can also ask for the character to be removed in the active players list.
Whichever method you choose, perhaps you would like to remember the character as yours and have a little reminder to their storyline and/or an explanation of their disappearance. That’s what this thread is for. Below you can post some information about the character and their storyline. Please use your main account for this and use max. one post per character. Other than that, the format is up to you! Remember to place content warnings at the top of your post if relevant and keep it SFW.
