RE: Business to settle - Elijah Crane - 06-06-2020

Elijah was also shocked when Gabriel left. He wanted to call out to him, but he couldn't leave Anthony's side. Perhaps the man was disgusted in him. He could only be so kind. When he heard the man shift, he turned to Anthony and sighed in relief.
"Are you alright? You have been beaten within an inch of your life !"

Anthony just stared at the door for a moment, before turning back to... Elijah? He would really like to know what's going on, now. He just stared at the man for a few moments in confusion, before nodding slowly at his question. Even though that it was obvious that he was very far from being 'alright.'

Elijah frowned as it was so clear he wasn't well. "Do you remember being attacked? You should tell me. When you can get to your feet, I'll get you home."

Anthony barely even understood what was happening right now — he certainly didn't understand what happened before. He hesitated, and then shook his head no. Maybe he'll remember once he's had some time to actually heal, but that was irrelevant right now. He just wanted to go home.

Elijah sighed and squeezed his hand. "I'm not sure you should get up. Just take it easy for a few minutes. I don't want to push you."

Anthony frowned as Elijah said that, but he didn't try and argue. He was still sad about the fact that it seemed like they wouldn't be going home yet. Anthony propped himself up on his elbows, wanting to be able to stand up as soon as possible. "I want to go home."

Elijah gasped as he sat. "Are you sure? I mean, you saw a doctor but.. alright.. " He sighed and helped him to sit up. "I need to say goodbye to Gabriel and apologize." He didn't want to say why he had to apologize but right now he had a feeling the man wouldn't want to see him right then.

Anthony was absolutely not doing well enough to just be able to get up and walk back home, but he sure as hell wanted to think that he was. He got dizzy as soon as he sat up, and it was a bit obvious. "Why?" Why did he need to apologize to Gabriel? What did they do?

Elijah tilted his head but made sure to gently press Anthony to stay seated. "Yeah you shouldn't walk. It's too far for you right now. Why what?"

Anthony made a 'hmph' sound of disapproval as Elijah stopped him from trying to stand up, but he stayed quiet about it and didn't react with anything other than a frown. "Why do you need to apologize?"
