RE: Business to settle - Elijah Crane - 06-15-2020

Elijah stared at him , about to argue but then his shoulders drooped. "Fine, have it your way." He couldn't handle this right now. It was too much. He wanted to be a good boyfriend even though he had no experience. He wanted to try to care but his good intentions and attempts at being caring and trying were just hitting a brick wall. Perhaps it was because he now realized how close he had been to having someone he was certain would have been better. A part of his brain reminded him it was easy to say that when he only had a theory on something as a possibility as he'd never had a chance to know Gabriel well enough to get to know all parts of him and possibly get on each other's nerves. Still, he sat in his own room and went into his lock box to re read the letter. At least it made him feel like someone in the world actually cared about him even if they had disappeared.

RE: Business to settle - Anthony Rowe - 06-15-2020

Anthony was absolutely pissed now. He considered just waiting and trying to calm down and then talk to Elijah again. But then he considered just leaving this fucking place and that asshole behind and going back home, and he decided he liked that idea much more. He took the medicine from the table and put it in his pocket (just in case) and stood up, holding onto whatever he saw first in order to keep his balance. After a few moments, he managed to be pretty steady on his feet, and he made an immediate beeline for the door. "Fuck you!" was all he said before he left and just slammed the door shut. Maybe his good judgement was clouded by emotion. Maybe he was definitely going to regret this. Whatever. It felt like an amazing idea at the time.

Elijah sat up sharply as he heard the shout and door closed. He wanted to run after the guy to bring him back, to remind him of his condition. But he didn't want his help. He didn't really want him, Elijah convinced himself. His face fell as he stared ahead at nothing. Finally his head dropped into his hands and his body shook as he sobbed. He had been right all along. He wasn't made to find happiness or love. He tried to chase a foolish dream and it crashed leaving him even more empty and miserable than he'd started out.
