RE: Business to settle - Elijah Crane - 06-12-2020

It was a while before Elijah returned. He wished things could happen quickly but it took forever to get the medicine he needed and people kept distracting him on the way home. It took a lot of promising to get back to them before he could make it home. Elijah didn't even notice what he was up to, he was already spouting his apology for taking so long. After the apology, he looked up at him to make sure Anthony was paying attention so he could tell him the directions to use the medicine. "Not too much, alright? This could be dangerous." He went to sit beside him. "Would you like some right now?"

He didn't mind that it took Elijah a long time to return. Anthony looked at Elijah as the latter showed him how to use the medicine properly. Another terrible thought entered his mind, but only for a moment, as he quickly berated himself for it and forced it away. He nodded as Elijah spoke, and tensed up a little bit as he sat down next to him. It took a bit of time for him to figure out whether he wanted the medicine right now or not. And he never actually managed to do so. He was still in pain, so it would've been smart to use the meds right now, but he just really didn't want to, for some vague reason that not even he himself completely understood. "I don't know."

Elijah sighed as Anthony didn't know. He told himself it was the injury, but it felt like a wall had popped up between them again. He lightly patted his shoulder, "It's alright. Take it when you want." He put the medicine down as well as a cup of water (he made certain this one had a handle so that it would be harder for Anthony to drop it). "The bed is also made so if you would rather be moved there, let me know and I'll help you." He watched him and the barely toughed food. He wanted to speak sense into the man, but this man had a gift for ignoring good sense.

Anthony glanced towards the medicine and the water for a moment, but quickly looked away, and kept staring at his hands. He didn't want respond to anything Elijah said — nothing that he had to say would matter anyway, so there's no reason for him to bother. He tried to keep up that totally apathetic facade, but it didn't really work. Everything just eventually got the best of him, and he just held his face in his hands and broke down crying.

The sudden crying startled him. Elijah moved to Anthony's side and held his shoulders. "W-what's wrong? Please, why are crying??" He tried to talk to him. This wasn't the pain, something was seriously wrong and he couldn't figure out why.

Anthony didn't want to answer that question, and he also literally physically couldn't. He'd been holding this back for the last few days, and now it all came out in a sudden burst of emotion. There was a moment of calm as he wiped his face dry with his hands and looked up, but it didn't last for long. He wasn't even really crying anymore, he was just sobbing.

This only added to the confused, so Elijah held him in his arms. "Anthony!" He tried to calm and soothe him though it seemed he wasn't helping at all. Was he hysterical? What was going on?! He begged the man to open up to him, this crying couldn't be good for his physical state.

RE: Business to settle - Anthony Rowe - 06-13-2020

Anthony flinched and stopped sobbing as if on cue. He was still crying a bit, but he was quiet about it, now. Did he piss Elijah off again? Just by the sobbing? That seemed most likely, so he just stayed very quiet and tried to force himself to calm down again. He didn't want to get shouted at right now.

Elijah relaxed but tried to look Anthony in the face. "Please, speak to me. What is going on?" He started to have tears fall down his own face. This was all becoming too much. He didn't know what to do anymore, and now his boyfriend was crying and he couldn't figure out why. His hands moved to take the other's. "Please.. something is wrong."

Anthony still stayed very quiet. He would have liked to just talk about everything that was wrong, but he was much too scared to do that. This was terrifying and he was beginning to regret that moment of vulnerability. "It's—" he hesitated. He didn't want to stress Elijah out any more by dumping every single one of his problems on him. "it's nothing. I'm probably just going insane."
