RE: Business to settle - Elijah Crane - 06-08-2020

Elijah looked relieved and placed a blanket over him. "I don't want you getting up unless you have to. If you need anything, just let me know." He took his head and looked worriedly at him. "I'll go later to find out what I can safely give you for the pain, I promise."

Anthony pulled the blanket closer to himself, and just looked up at Elijah with a sad look in his eyes. "Well, okay," he said, glad that he won't be just leaving him here writhing in pain, at least. "this shit sucks." The attention was nice, but the constant pain and weakness wasn't. He really just wanted this to be over with quickly

Elijah stared at his face and frowned in worry. "Would you like me to go right now? I don't like seeing you suffer like this but if you rather I stay by your side, I will."

"No," Anthony said, a little bit too quickly. "don't go. Please?" The last thing he wanted was to suffer alone. It was bad enough doing so with a companion — he didn't want to experience it solely by himself.

Elijah smiled and squeezed his hand. "Hey, I'll stay. You just have to say so. I won't leave you alone, since I know you should be alright, I don't have to worry about something worse going on.' He kissed his hand and rest it against his cheek as he closed his eyes. "I'm here. I'll stay here too."

"Thank you," Anthony said. It was relieving to hear that Elijah would be staying with him, and he was so glad about that. "I'm so glad you're here. I'm kinda sca—" he squeezed his eyes shut again at another sudden sharp pain in his head, "...I'm kinda scared of what would've happened if you hadn't helped me yesterday." Anthony finished his sentence, pretending he wasn't interrupted.

He looked concerned but trusted the doctor. He stroked his hand lightly. "Hey, you don't need to thank me. This is where I need to be.. with you. I couldn't leave you alone and let you suffer. I care about you and I want to help care for you."

RE: Business to settle - Anthony Rowe - 06-09-2020

Anthony smiled. "You deserve to be thanked. Like, you basically saved my entire life yesterday, right?" His memory was kind of fucked, and he genuinely was under the impression that Elijah was the only one to help him. "Even if you...want to do that, I still wanna thank you."

Elijah smiled though looked confused. "Did you.. forget? I found you after Father Richards told me where to find you. He thought I would just make a report on an injured man, he had no clue we knew each other. I suppose some of your thanks should go to him, he got the first doctor who helped you. "He smiled sheepishly. "I only got you home.'

Anthony stared at Elijah for a moment, trying to figure out whether he was fucking with him or not. He seemed very genuine about it. Anthony scowled slightly, though not at Elijah. "I'm not thanking him. He's an asshole." He was hoping that he was just fucking with him, now.
