Benny merely nodded and after swallowing the food he'd stuffed his mouth with, he spoke, "Yeah.. Thanks for the advice. Sorry , I just.. still have other options. And fingers crossed I find work before I have to." He smiled hopeful.

Ben nodded. "I'll... ask around for you," he said. "But these are hard times. There's a lot of people looking for jobs."

Benny shrugged and smiled. "That's what she said. I appreciate the effort though. I even said I will take any work, I just went to fishermen first since I have so much boat experience."

Ben nodded. "Might be able to use some help, if ye prove ye can learn fast. But don't pin me down. We have too much going on at the moment. If ye haven't found owt in a week, come back and we'll see." Ben said. He did need help on the boat with his failing slightly less than perfect health. He couldn't keep Bram out of school for too long without getting into trouble.

Benny nodded. "Fair enough, thanks for the offer even if you change your mind." He smiled, he'd prove to this ass that he could be a nice guy.

Ben nodded.
"I don't want to go back to school!" Bram whined.
"You'll have to, eventually, either way." Ben commented.
Bram glared at Benny as if it was all his fault.

Benny chuckled. "Don't worry, kid. I never went to school and I turned out fine." He gave it a chance to add a silly pause before continuing, "Though I was taught things by a witch. " He wiggled his fingers and smiled before cleaning his plate.

Ben shook his head.

Benny leaned in and spoke in a low, serious tone. "An evil woman who had pale shriveled skin and glassy eyes. She wandered the halls at night with her candle to make sure I wasn't up out of bed. And she hated any child but her own. If you didn't learn your lessons, she'd punish you."
