Elijah tightened his lips but chuckled slightly. " I haven't arrested anyone today."

"That's enough, Will." Ben reprimanded. He agreed, but he did not want his children to make a habit out of speaking poorly of others.

Elijah shrugged. "He is young and has bad role models. A good parent usually has good children, though of course bad apples can fall from any tree. I think he is just in a bad place in his life and can be turned around. I'm going to try some things and see if he can turn around. Sometimes it isn't about a second chance but opening a new path they never saw before. Understand?"

Will frowned skeptically. "Well, I think 'e needs..."
"Let's leave this for Elijah to handle, shall we." Ben interrupted. He did not think Elijah was doing a great job, but he seemed so convinced that Ben did not want to argue any further, just to avoid getting even more annoyed.

"Well, I hope you manage to get through to him." He wasn't hopeful. Ben put an arm around Will's shoulder. "We've got to get back to the boats. Drop by for dinner soon, will ye?"
