Elijah swallowed hard and smiled sadly. "T-thank you.. for your time. I shouldn't keep you. I just.. had to get this off my chest." He stood and held out his hand hoping the man would shake it once more.

When the man called his name, Gabriel snapped out of it and let go. He blushed and opened his mouth, looking for something to say. "I just wanted you to know... I care. I care, and if ever you need me, I'm here."

Gabriel looked down, ears burning. "Another priest usually, for things that require a priest... And well, you've met my sister." But those seemed insignificant now. He glanced up. It was this man he wanted to share his deepest secrets with. This man he wanted to be an equal with. This man he wanted to find comfort in. It would never be possible.
