RE: Taking A Moment to Breathe - Ruth Blacke - 02-11-2025 Her own face reddened a little and she looked at her hands. "Edward, I don't wish fer ye to run to me ma and da just yet so how do we handle this? I don't think I could stand it but I am willin' to put that aside if I have to... I won't know how to keep me hands to meself if I don't try." Her voice caught as she pictured the night prior. It was all she could do not to find his lips with hers. RE: Taking A Moment to Breathe - Edward Blackwood - 02-11-2025 "Oh, hrmmm..." He wasn't sure how to reply to that. She wanted to put off speaking to her parents but apparently wanted to continue to engage in intimate relations which was something of a challenging situation. "I'm not sure if I am honest. It's not as though anyone in the manor will reveal what we do." RE: Taking A Moment to Breathe - Ruth Blacke - 02-12-2025 "Nay... They wouldn't," she said softly. "I only need enough time ta breathe, it is not as though I want a month... Just a few days. Things are happenin quick enough that I just haven't pinched meself yet to see if I am dreamin it is happenin at all." She gave a thick sounding laugh. RE: Taking A Moment to Breathe - Edward Blackwood - 02-12-2025 "A few days to breath." He repeated the sentiment as he let out a low breath his gaze shifting to the middle distance. "I don't hate that, the balance of action between what I know of myself what others might suspect and I find it all very exhausting." RE: Taking A Moment to Breathe - Ruth Blacke - 02-12-2025 "Aye," she said, then turned her face up to meet his gaze, "A few days wouldn't make it any worse, would it?" Or would it? But she wouldn't say that. She looked at his lips and then her eyes went sidelong as if she didn't remember the brand of his mouth on hers. Her cheeks pinkened a bit more and she forced her gaze off of his face altogether before she could give in to the impulse to prove she rather didn't care that things weren't proper quite yet... But then, she was no maiden either. Damn it, her eyes darted to his lips again. RE: Taking A Moment to Breathe - Edward Blackwood - 02-12-2025 "I have no idea if one indiscretion is any worse than multiple." He admitted honestly as turned to study her for several moments. They certainly were a pair an American and a maid, a widower and a single mother. "I think, the only way forward is to simply concern ourselves with the the opinions of the only two people actually impacted directly by our actions. The rest will simply have to learn to adapt to the change in circumstance I suppose." A decision that was followed with his lips on hers in a brief kiss that was broken so he could giver her a boyish smile, clearly feeling quite mischievous in his decision to throw caution to the wind. RE: Taking A Moment to Breathe - Ruth Blacke - 02-12-2025 Her eyes met his in some surprise that it didn't matter. She laughed softly and wrapped her arms around him, "I like that idea..." In fact, it was less overwhelming the way he brought it up. Her moth met his multiple times with playful little kisses that soon turned to slow lingering ones with words of endearment whispered between. RE: Taking A Moment to Breathe - Edward Blackwood - 02-12-2025 He tugged her down so they could get comfortable, his arms curling around her not looking to escalate things since they were in the garden where anyone might see. But he was quite content to cuddle up with her and accept the risk of being caught acting affectionate. That he felt people could handle even if it wasn't proper. RE: Taking A Moment to Breathe - Ruth Blacke - 02-12-2025 She pulled back and gently touched his angular face whilst gazing into his eyes. Hers sparkled and she curled her lips upward. "I could get used ta this," she admitted softly. RE: Taking A Moment to Breathe - Edward Blackwood - 02-12-2025 "Then it is fortunate we are going to be wed." It seemed like a forgone conclusion at this point even if it still felt a bit surreal. |
