Nesah was a strong-willed child who wouldn’t take no for an answer. Being one of the younger children of the family, she would be picked on and told what to do by the older children, but she always had a reply ready, and when her parents became aware of an argument between the children, she would pull the ‘younger sister card’ and get her older siblings in trouble. She was a fast learner and enjoyed spending her free time running around with her brothers, bullying local kids, and writing stories.
She never paid much attention to her parents urging her to find a husband. Nesah likes watching men and flirting a bit, but none of them can quite impress her. She’d rather be one, than marry one. She had an experimental relationship with one of the daughters of the family she was boarding with when at school. But finally, she broke it off. The girl spoke of marrying a man one day just a little too often and she was rather dull anyway. Now Nesah has set her mind and heart on different things. She has come to England to escape from her parents control and do what she has always wanted: go to university.
