Valo was born in 1865, to an unknown finish man and Mary Conel, in what is now Whitby, UK. His exact date of birth is unknown. His mother, while caring, was very distant from him. He began fishing at the age of 13 to help provide for himself and his mother who worked for a noble family. His uncle, William Conel, taught him how to fish and helped him get a job alongside him as a fisherman. He still fishes, now providing for himself only. He isn't a religious man, either. Valo tends to get into arguments with others who believe everything is done through the will of some god. He doesn't practice any religion. When he is not fishing, he has a garden he tends to at his small home, and also plans to marry. He tends to be nihilistic by nature, serious and contemplative. He tends to obtain random new hyperfixations on books, plays, music and whatnot at random points. He is quite, albet not at all reserved. He speaks his mind, especially when someone says something he finds incredibly ridiculous; the forcing of religion. He has short black hair, green eyes, tan skin, stands at 6'6 and weighs 220 lbs, most of which is muscle. He has scars on his hands and arms from accidents with knives, fishing hooks, fish teeth, fins, scrap metal and glass. He is very fond of history and enjoys learning about whatever he can. While nihilistic by nature, he does have some hope. For instance, his hope to find someone to settle down with, finishing a story he has been writing. If asked about these topics, his eyes light up as if a lamp of new life has been restored to him. He does have somewhat of a romantic side, though he tends to keep to himself. |
