History: Born in Scotland to a father who worked aboard a Naval vessel, Averin's mother died young and his father took him aboard to be the cabin boy so he could keep an eye on his lad. Then his father was swept out to sea and the ship's crew took to raising him. They were scuttled by pirates and he was forced to serve aboard the ship. He wound up setting it afire and escaping after six years in the Caribbean and now he is a career criminal.
