Tall and lean, Edward has frizzy hair that he rarely bothers to comb and sharp angular features. Nevertheless, these features soften quite nicely when he smiles. Most people who meet him would describe him as distracted as he is prone to having his head in the clouds. |

Born into the respectable Blackwood family of New York, Edward was known to be quite intelligent since early childhood. His tutors marvelled at his ability to take in new information and called him a prodigy. He pursued academia with fervour. His favourite areas of study being Mathematics, Chemistry, and Engineering.
He triple majored in those three subjects at MIT, starting there at sixteen and graduating at the top of his class four years later at twenty. Edward continued to live and work at the university for about six years. During this time he met the woman that would be his wife. They married when he was twenty-six and they moved to a quiet house in the country where he continued his research. Living off the residual payments from a patent he had engineered and sold to a large manufacturing company for a conveyor belt system.
Things seemed perfect for a time, however, tragedy struck. There was a house fire and while Edward managed to survive his wife perished, along with their unborn child. The fire had originated in his lab and thus Edward blames himself for what happened and has been in a depression ever since. In the hopes that a change of scenery would help his disposition, his family has arranged a home for him in Whitby hoping to keep him from doing anything drastic. |
