The very Catholic Kemble family prided itself on producing a priest every generation. Alas, George's only brother had a mind for law, and was the ideal candidate to take over his father's business.
After a bit of scandal in his first parish, George was given administrative tasks for a few years, but was finally 'allowed' to lead a parish again. He hated it. He hated Whitby most of all, and was glad to leave for Middlesbrough. But then "that socialist in sheep's clothing finally lost his mind" and now he's back. Well, shite. |
