Darius didn't think deeply about the words. He didn't study them or try to find anything insincere, because Darius was caught in the moment and was completely focused on cheering Calliope up. "You honestly don't need to apologize, your feelings are fine. Don't feel bad for what you feel."

They didn't believe him. Yes, he didn't believe that they could want to kiss him, but he couldn't argue with this reaction. He placed his hands on their shoulders and drew them into a hug. He placed his lips to theirs quickly and immediately after starting, that uncertainty and realizing what he was doing hit him and he wanted to pull away.
