Elijah swallowed hard and smiled sadly. "T-thank you.. for your time. I shouldn't keep you. I just.. had to get this off my chest." He stood and held out his hand hoping the man would shake it once more.

Gabe stood as well and took the man's hand. But didn't let go.

Elijah didn't pull his hand away. He looked from it up to the man curiously. Not curiously... intrigued."Richards?"

When the man called his name, Gabriel snapped out of it and let go. He blushed and opened his mouth, looking for something to say. "I just wanted you to know... I care. I care, and if ever you need me, I'm here."

Elijah nodded and looked at him for a moment. "M-may I ask.. who you go to when you need someone? I mean.. I am sure you call to God for guidance but..sometimes you need someone more.. responsive.."

Gabriel looked down, ears burning. "Another priest usually, for things that require a priest... And well, you've met my sister." But those seemed insignificant now. He glanced up. It was this man he wanted to share his deepest secrets with. This man he wanted to be an equal with. This man he wanted to find comfort in. It would never be possible.

"Those seem like good people to talk to... I am just glad that.. you have...someone." He smiled almost like a twitch.

Gabriel nodded quietly. "I.... hope you have enough friends who love and support you?"

Elijah nodded. "I have the Wards... you met Rose. They are difficult to strangers but are like family to me."

"That's good..." he said, but with a pang of pain.
