Anthony frowned, taking a few quick and unsteady steps back. So much for calm and quiet. "What?" What the fuck was going on, now. "We're not burglars, moron!"

Ben covered his head, but could not escape a few blows on the arms and back. "Stop! Stop!" he shouted.

"What's going on!? Stand still or I'll call the constable!" Gabriel stood on the stairs, dressed in night clothes, with a candle in his hand.

The woman momentarily stopped beating Ben to a bloody pulp.

Anthony stood very still, and raised his hands a bit for calm. "Calm the hell down," he said. "nothing's going on." Definitely not suspicious at all.

"We got locked in the church and were searchin' for a way out." Ben said, his hands still raised, and ready to protect himself from the crazy lady at any moment. This and knocking down that door? He was going to be black and blue tomorrow.

"Oh dear, of no..." Gabriel walked down that stairs. "That must have been my fault. I didn't realize there'd be people inside at that hour... Please, Mrs. Dawson, leave these men alone..."

The woman finally lowered the pan.

Anthony slowly lowered his hands until they were at his sides again. He sighed in pure exasperation. "Whatever. Doesn't matter anymore." Not like he's gonna start berating this guy about a simple mistake, or something like that.

"It's alright." It super wasn't. "Just let us out."

"Are you injured though?" Asked Gabriel, looking from one to the other. "Do we need to get you a doctor?"

Anthony raised his hands again. "I'm okay," he absolutely wasn't. "don't know about him, though."
