"Thanks." James put it away again. "Do you know other pranks?"

"I don't really...pull pranks on people," Saoirse shrugged. "so, not really, no."

"Oh..." James looked disappointed. "Your life must be quite boring."

"It is, kind of," she agreed with him. Maybe she should start with pranks and all that, now. Hmm. "I just haven't really thought about pranks or anything like that, before."

"Really?" James looked at her shocked. He put his finger to his chin and thought. Then he concluded: "It's because you're a girl."

Saoirse was unimpressed. "Is that the final diagnosis, then?" She took it easy because this was a child saying these things, not an actual adult with critical thinking skills.

"What?" The boy looked confused.

"I think so... Why else would you be boring?" James reasoned.
