Elijah frowned deeply as he listened. "I... don't want a wife. I just.. " he didn't like people bringing up his 'availability' as if he could just marry anyone and it would be the same. Or women wanting to marry him because it would make their lives easier. But those reasons didn't matter as much as the main one.
"I just hoped if I had a woman in my life who understood my issues, people would think I was normal and more importantly, she could help me from wanting to go out and see him. I don't, and I know he doesn't want me to see him ...still..."
He listened to his tale and looked to Malachi with hope. "However did you get over it?" He spoke to him kindly and not that he needed to go to confession to speak of it, like nothing was wrong with him just for feeling this way. It was some comfort, and he hoped so dearly that he also had the key to this heart break and longing.
