Bram looked miserable at that prospect. "I don't need no school learnin'. I'm learning to be a fisherman."
Ben agreed with his son, and yet he said: "You do as Elijah tells you."
Bram pouted. His little holiday had been canceled.

Elijah shook his head. "The teacher might be easy on you and let you catch up in class. If not, it won't be more than an hour of homework, I'm sure. You'll be alright, you're a smart kid." He ruffled his hair and thanked Ben for understanding. "Goodbye for now, Ben. Sleep well and eat well too. We'll see you soon." He guided the kids out and they headed to his home.
