Arthur held up his hand. "One moment, Miss. I know very little about meal planning. That is my wife's domain." He rung the bell again, and a footman stepped in almost instantly. "Please bring my wife over." Arthur said, and when the man left, he smiled at Vela. "I would not want to hurt her feelings, you see," he explained.
And soon said wife stepped in. She looked hardly older than Vela herself with dark hair and dark eyes, eyes that landed on Vela with jealous suspicion. She had a petite shape and was elegantly dressed in a gracious violet gown. She walked over to her husband and leaned on the back of the armchair, placing a hand on her husband's shoulder, while her eyes were still fixed on Vela. "This must be the cook?"
"Chef, darling," Arthur quickly corrected. "This is Miss Rosewine. Miss Rosewine, this is my wife. Perhaps you would like to discuss the menu with her."
